Fundraising Events

As a non-profit organization, the Science Center hold events throughout the year designed to raise money for the organization. Some of these events include:

Neanderthal Ball

This is the Science Center’s signature gala event, with a bit of a twist. Instead of black ties and evening gowns, guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite “Caveman Couture”. The event is much less formal than the typical gala and raises money to support the Science Center’s mission to Inspire Science Learning for Life.

Science of Wine

What could be more fun than some of the world’s finest wines paired with fare from Orlando’s favorite restaurants? That’s exactly what you’ll find at the Science of Wine and more. This is no ordinary wine tasting event. The thing that sets this event apart is the educational content, Informal and interesting, the Science Center presents demonstrations and seminars designed to give you a better understanding of what goes into making the perfect bottle of wine.

In addition to these events, the Science Center also raises money through the Cosmic Golf Challenge and the Track Shack Celebration of Running 5K. Funds from both of these long-standing events go directly to supporting the Science Center’s mission.
