Red Giants – Summer A, B & C
Still accepting applications for summer 2013

Youth applying for a Red Giant summer position have 3 sessions to choose from: Summer A (June 10-July 12) and Summer B (July 8-August 9), or Summer C (June 10-August 9). We offer the flexibility of 3 options, so please determine which of these will work best for you and your family before applying, as you will need to indicate which session you would like to apply for on the application.

Summer A & B:

Youth Volunteers participating in Summer Session A or B commit to 5 weeks of service during which they commit to a 9:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. shift for a minimum of 2 days a week for all 5 weeks.

*We strongly encourage youth volunteers to select Summer A or Summer B. Summer C (below) is only to be selected when there is no way to meet the attendance requirements of Summer A or B.

Summer C:

Youth Volunteers participating in Summer Session C commit to 8 weeks of service during which they commit to a 9:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. shift for a minimum of 1 day a week for 8 out of the 10 weeks of our summer program.

*This option should only be considered by volunteers who cannot fulfill the attendance requirements of Summer A or Summer B.

Red Giants Requirements:
  • Must be at least 13 years old at time of application.
  • Must be willing to provide the minimum service requirement for your chosen session.
  • Must be able to attend a quarterly orientation. If you are unable to attend on the scheduled date, please consider applying at another time.

Please Note – by May 31, 2013 you will need to provide your final schedule for the summer session you select. Volunteers are required to commit to a schedule and changes after this date will be minimal and considered only in case of emergency. You will have your complete summer schedule set before your first day of volunteering.

If you are unable to commit to these time requirements, please do not apply at this time.
