Saturday, March 9, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.Former NASA astronaut Robert Springer returns to discuss how science fiction can inspire real space exploration and technology. Springer will share his personal experiences gained from more than 6,500 flying hours and 237 hours spent in outer space. He will speak on the future of space travel, how science fiction films such as Star Wars® inspire real world science and how you can become an astronaut.To top off this space-filled day, Springer will introduce the 2:00 p.m. showing of “Space Junk 3D” in the Digital Adventure Theater: A National Geographic Experience, and guests will have the chance to interact and take photos with members of the 501st Legion dressed as your favorite villains from the Star Wars saga! |
