Celebrate the Science of Sound throughout the month of June with these fun musical activities:

 

Maker Saturday

Saturday, June 15, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Local Makers will bring home-made instruments and various projects that highlight music and sound. This is the first of several small-scale Maker events, that highlights DIY projects in technology, art, science and engineering, which all leads up to the 2nd Annual Mini Maker Faire that will be held at the Orlando Science Center on October 5. Just what is a Maker? Come find out!

Special Musical Performances! See Music N More students play music in fun performances that highlight the science of sound in the Digital Adventure Theater: A National Geographic Experience.

Safety Week

Come join us in KidsTown for Safety Week! Safety Week will provide you and your family an opportunity to talk about what to do in case of an emergency. Also have a chance to meet some of our emergency service men and women. Enjoy this week of safety with fun activities and crafts designed to teach little ones about how to stay safe at home, outside and on-the-go!

Preschool Holiday Workshop

Fire-Crackin’ Fourth of July Workshop

Saturday, June 29, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Happy Birthday, America! Join us as we celebrate America’s independence day. Explore the science behind fireworks, kite flying and other fun in the sun! Hurray for the Red, White, and Blue! Each participant will bring home a certificate, craft, and memories of a day of fun and education. The workshop will also include a snack and a story.

Science Center Members: $20 per parent & child; $5 for additional person.
General Public: $25 per parent & child; $5 for additional person.
(Science Center admission is required)

Space is limited, reservations required. For registration or more information call 407.514.2112. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m.
